This research has an intention of improving performance of a baseball bat by comparing the location of sweet spot measured by theory
with one by the experiment. We measured various physical quantities of baseball bat and ball, obtained the location by using standardized
equipments, and estimated the location of sweet spot by obtaining BBCOR and BESR impacting ball and bat in fast velocity. Also, we
made our own experiment simulator to measure coefficient of restitution, and amplitude, frequency of crashing sounds to estimate the
location of sweet spot. In addition, we estimated the location of sweet spot by measuring distortion (strain rate) using strain gauge. As
a result, we can find little deviation between theoretical sweet spot and actual sweet spot estimated by different experiments. But, every
sweet spot position was within ± 3 cm from the theoretical position. These results will help baseball lovers and players practice batting.
