최근 많은 지역에서 인한 교통체증, 환경오염 등 도시문제의 해결 방안으로 시내버스의 이용 장려를 추진하고 있다. 전주시
역시 시내버스를 운영하고 있으나 얼마 전 노선 개편에도 불구하고 정류장 배치나 노선 분배의 효율성 면에서 미흡한 모습을
보였다. 전주시 시내버스 체계의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 최적노선망 결정 모형에 의한 노선망 개발, 교통취약지
분석과 적정 정류장 수 예측 모델, 적정 정류장 간격을 활용한 정류장 재배치라는 두 가지 측면에서 대안을 제시하였으며 이는
평균굴곡도, 직접통행자수 등의 평가지표에 의해 크게 개선되었음이 증명되었다. 본 연구를 통해 전주시 시내버스의 문제점을
해결할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 타 지역에서의 노선체계 개선 시 본 연구가 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Recently, many cities have encouraged citizens to take the city bus for solving trafic congestion, environmental
polution, etc. Jeonju, which is one of the cities, changed the bus route lately, which remained deficient in terms
of eficiency in not only arangement of the bus stop but also division of the bus route. To solve these problems,
we sugested alternatives about developing bus routes by the Model of Optimal Bus Route and rearanging bus
stops by analysis of trafic-vulnerable area, Prediction Model of Optimal Numbers of Bus Stops, and ideal distance
of bus stops. And those alternatives are proven to be improved by the evaluating indicators such as average degre
of sinuosity, numbers of direct pasengers, etc. We hope this research to be used to resolve the problems of bus
network in Jeonju and to improve bus network in other cities as wel.
